We are looking for people who:
- Have identified a problem or a challenge they want to solve
- Are a creative problem solver and innovator
- Are able to make ideas a reality.
The Care Innovation Challenge happens every year and is open to everyone. We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds and from a range of disciplines to think broadly on ways to create positive change.
You do not need to be an expert in social care, or have any experience of social care yourself, to apply. You do not need to have any technical skills. You just need to have an intention to improve the quality of life of those receiving care in the UK.

I wouldn’t call myself a technical person. I’m more of an ideas person, a global health person who’s passionate about public health and trying to innovate in the care sector. I had no idea where to start. No idea who to talk to. I was always interested in care-related things. When I heard about the Challenge, I thought it sounded perfect so I joined up.”
